Welcome back to our weekly dive into the Commitment of Traders (COT) data!
CAD – Canadian Dollar



- Speculators: Net short -103,861 (decreased longs by 621 increased shorts by 21,084)
- Commercials: Net long 112,982 (increased longs 3,934, decreased shorts by 17,153)
% ratio long 15.18% there is great potential for more longs, and CAD strength
CHF – Swiss Franc



- Speculators: Net short -23,767 (increased longs by 189, Increased shorts by 887)
- Commercials: Net long 25,298 (increased longs by 865, decreased shorts by 1,434)
% ratio long under 19.55 there is also room for more CHF strength
GBP – British Pound



- Speculators: Net long 23,993 (decreased longs by 1,396, increased shorts by 1,827)
- Commercials: Net short -33,817 (increased longs by 1,839, Increased shorts by 3,597)
% long ratio is 57.88. I won’t be using the COT data for GBP to make trade decisions or confirmations.
JPY – Japanese Yen



- Speculators: Net long 167,330 ( Increased longs by 284 and Increase shorts by 5,222)
- Commercials: Net short -181,021 (increased longs by 962 decreased shorts by 2,908)
% long ratio 87.74%, over bought. Would be careful putting on any Long JPY orders. May see bearish momentum.
EUR – Euro



- Speculators: Net long 74,774 ( decreased longs by 3,507 increased shorts by 6,814)
- Commercials: Net short -126,830 ( increase longs by 16,796 and increased shorts by 9,344)
% long ratio is 61. I won’t be using the COT data for EUR to make trade decisions or confirmations.
NZD – New Zealand Dollar



- Speculators: Net short -23,652 (decreased longs by 226, Increased shorts by 814)
- Commercials: Net long 24,260 (increased longs by 1,271, increased shorts by 873)
% long ratio is 22.88%, up from under 20%. There is a good bit of room for long positions in NZD.
AUD – Australian Dollar



- Speculators: Net short -50,077 (Decreased longs by -4,510 Increased short positions by 5,221)
- Commercials: Net long 59,536 ( Increased long positions 1,315, decreased short positions by -7,338)
% long ratio is 20.77%, also lots of room for AUD longs.
